Mobile Shopping at EMS a Breeze

Erin Lynch
November 27, 2012

Retailer shopped: EMS

Device used: iPhone 4s

Date Shopped: Cyber Monday, November 26 at 5:30 p.m.

The email or Twitter or Facebook or website offer: Online Exclusive 50% Off Everything Cyber Monday

Outcome: EMS did not skip a beat with its Cyber Monday ready mobile page. It was fast, the fonts, colors and graphics all stuck out, and it was very easy to navigate through. Unlike most sites I visited today, EMS broke down each category from the sex of the shopper to the outdoor sport activity to even outlet items which are already discounted. If a user wasn’t sure, you can easily find the item you wanted through the search bar at the top of the page. Logging into the site was easy even with my fat fingers. Overall 10/10.

Landing page worked: The EMS page loaded very fast and by clicking on the Cyber Monday only deal icon, which was front and center, was simple and immediately brought me to a list of categories with items that qualified for the 50% discount.

The item was easy/hard to put in the cart because: You can’t miss the “Add to Cart” button on any of the items listed on EMS’ mobile site.

I was suggested an add-on, and it was: I did not get any suggested for my SmartWool sock purchases.

I abandoned the cart, and I received an abandoned cart email: Even though I was signed in with my registered account, I did not receive an abandoned cart email.
